Welcome to our exclusive

"Home and Away" Service

We offer this extremely limited boarding service exclusive to existing Hound Lounge clients.

The stay will be in Shelley’s home, so your dog must be child friendly, and house & toilet trained.

You supply food, and we will supply a cosy home away from home environment; play, cuddles and, of course, love.

We have a very pet friendly home, so your dog will be able to snuggle with us on the sofa, and enjoy the creature comforts of being at Home, while you are Away. Please see IMPORTANT FACTORS below - as this Home and Away experience wont suit all dogs.

Pick ups and drop offs are conveniently done via our weekday transport service, so your dog can keep to their regular routines; we do not offer weekend pick ups / drop offs.

Pet parents are kept up to date on the antics of their dogs holiday with pics and videos posted to a semi-private Home and Away facebook page (link provided on booking confirmation).

The cost is $50 per weekend or public holiday day, and you can use your trip card for weekdays, (the price would usually be $55 per weekday, but that is discounted to your pro rata trip session price).
Booking requests can be made by contacting Shelley on 0211835923 or shelley@houndlounge.co.nz

IMPORTANT FACTORS

  • This service is for existing Hound Lounge customers ONLY.

  • Dogs MUST be house trained, and preferably able to use a dog flap.

  • Dogs MUST be child friendly.

  • As this is a home environment, we are selective with the dogs that come to stay. If your dog is big / high energy, the boss (aka Mr 8, Jamie) may decline the booking as this energy can be too much for him in the home environment. Equally, if your dog is anxious, I may decline your boarding request.

  • Limited numbers apply so booking in advance is essential to avoid disappointment.

  • All Hound Lounge daycare policies and procedures apply to this boarding service.

BOOKING UNAVAILABILITY

  • We are unavailable for bookings the first week of the term 3-4 school holidays (usually early October, or late September) as we attend Camp Twitch, to support Jamie with his Tourette Syndrome. Feel free to learn more about Tourette’s by checking the Tourette’s Association of NZ website: https://tourettes.org.nz/

  • We do not take bookings Waitangi day (and usually the day/s surrounding)
